Debt Investing is an investment concept where individuals & institutions jointly invest in financing to SMEs and earn returns in the form of interests. The debt investment platform connects SMEs sourcing for business financing directly with investors who are looking to participate in this asset class as part of their investment portfolio. Funding Societies Pte. Ltd. is a Capital Markets Services licensee regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
We welcome individuals ranging from university students to high level executives and institutional investors such as fund management companies and family offices to invest on our platform. Do note that investors have to be at least 21 years old and above.
We welcome both Singaporean & foreigner investors on our platform. The only difference is that we’ll require you to submit additional documents such as a copy of your passport or proof of residential address during your onboarding process.
Do note that the acceptance of foreigner investors are subjected to regulatory restrictions such as Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism policies and other requirements from the regulatory bodies.
Investments on the platform starts at S$20 per note. This means that you’ll be able to start investing with just S$20.
We do not charge a fee for setting up an account. However, we do charge a nominal fee of 18% of the interest earned to cover operational costs. This is inclusive of the prevailing GST.
All returns on investments with Funding Societies in year 2020 and the subsequent years going forward are exempted from tax. This is only applicable for individual Singaporean tax residents, excluding any foreigner investors, institutional and corporate investors. Withholding tax is applicable for foreign residents
